* Syrian army artillery attacks have reportedly killed a large number of militants, including deputy commander of al-Izza (a faction of the Free Syrian Army (FSA)) Jama'ah Abdel Nasser Younes Khattab along with other militants after a strike on their command center in the town of al-Lataminah  in the northern part of Hama province.

Yemen

* Unidentified gunmen assassinated a senior Yemeni official of Aden's Security Command along with two civilians in the city of Aden on Sunday afternoon, a military official told Xinhua. The unknown gunmen opened fire on and assassinated Brigadier Taha Subaihi and two civilians, including a woman in Mansourah district, before fleeing to unknown location, the local military official said on condition of anonymity.
